Assalam o Alaiqum
My question is that ‘Is there a special worship that one should do on the night of 15th Sha’ban and if there is can you point any reference from the Quran or from the Sahi Hadees that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W or any Sahabah did any special worship on that night?’ i have searched on the internet but most of the scholars say that the there isn’t any reference of any special worship that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W or any Sahabah did. Kindly clear the matter for me with reference from the Quran or from the Sahi Hadees.

The virtue of the night of 15th Sha’ban is established from hadith narrated by ten different companions of the Prophet ﷺ. Although the chains of narrations of some of these narrations are weak, considered collectively they prove the virtue of this night. However, there is no reference to any particular form of worship that is recommended in this night.

As far as fasting on the 15th of Sha’ban is concerned, there is only one weak narration in which keeping this fast is recommended, and this is not sufficient to establish it as a sunnah fast. However, fasting throughout the month of Sha’ban is virtuous and recommended, as is fasting on the “white days”- the 13th, 14th and 15th of any month. Hence, if one was to fast on the 15th of Sha’ban this would be praiseworthy on account of it being a fast of Sha’ban and of one of the white days, but not particularly because it is the 15th of Sha’ban.
