I just wanted to know broadcast/youtube channel/podcasts with bayaans on etc has become quite big in the past few years – i listen to the alims that i am aware off on youtube like mufti mangera himself, point is – is video recording allowed for bayaans and to upload on youtube? Like how many scholars and mufti mangera uploads a video of himself doing a bayaan

Scholars have differing views regarding the status of digital imagery. Some scholars have argued that it is permissible to take digital photos and videos and doing so will not fall under the warnings of unlawful imagery. Other scholars have adopted a more cautious approach. Caution would be to avoid unnecessarily taking pictures and videos of living beings and uploading them.

As for promoting the religion of Islam using media, there are many benefits to this, hence, under the view of those scholars who permit digital imagery we would consider it permissible to record lectures and upload them for the benefit of the public.
