Q1) There are women in my work place. What should I do?

Q2) How do I protect myself from the women in my workplace and how do I protect myself from all sins in my workplace

Q3) If I have to interact with women in my workplace what pratical advice can you give me that I can implement in my workplace that will protect me from women and from all sins

Answer

Islam has clear principles in place regarding interaction with the opposite sex. Unfortunately we are not always able to control the environment in which we are placed and therefore have to try our best to uphold our religious principles and values.

If you have women at your work place then you should avoid unnecessary interaction and minimise necessary interaction. Avoid casual discussions, keep focussed on your work, ensure that there are always other men around you and keep making du’a to Allah the Almighty that he keeps you steadfast on your faith. Always keep repenting to Allah the Almighty for sins which may have been done knowingly as well as sins which may have been done unknowingly.
