Q1) Is there a Authentic Dua from an Authentic Hadith in Islam that will protect a person from jail.
Q2) Can you please give a Authentic Dua from an Authentic Hadith in Islam that will stop a person from going to jail.
Answer
There is no du’a from the sunnah specifically for protection from jail. However, there are du’as for protection and relief from difficult situations, and from enemies that intend to harm us, that may be read in such a situation. These include the following du’a mentioned in an authentic narration of Sunan Abu Dawud:
اَللّٰهُمَّ إنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِيْ نُحُوْرِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِم
O Allah, we make You our shield against them, and take refuge in You from their evils.
سنن أبي داود ت الأرنؤوط (2/ 640) – حدَّثنا محمدُ بن المثنى، حدَّثنا معاذُ بن هشام، حدثني أبي، عن قتادة، عن أبي بُردة بن عبد الله أن أباه حدَثه، أن النبيَّ – صلَّى الله عليه وسلم – كان إذا خَافَ قوماَ، قال: “اللَّهُمَّ إنا نَجعلُكَ في نُحورِهم، ونعوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرورِهِمْ”
