Question
Assalamu Alaykum
Q1) How do I protect myself from all evil, sins, problems, calamities, dangers, tests, tribulations and hardships.
Q2) How do I remove all evil, sins, problems, calamities, dangers, tests, tribulations and hardships from my destiny and how do I remove all evil, sins, problems, calamities, dangers, tests, tribulations and hardships from my taqdeer.
Answer
As this world is the world of tests, there will undoubtedly be some trials which you may face. You should always remember that Allah the Almighty will not test a person beyond their capability. Having said this, the Prophet (may Allah bless him and give him peace) also taught us some du’as which can protect us from certain calamities. Some of the du’as are as follows:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillahil-lazi la yadurru ma’asmihi shai’un fil ardhi wa la fis-sama’i wa huwas-Sami’ul ‘Aleem
In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in heaven, and He is All-Hearing and All-Knowing
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ
Allahumma inni as’alukal-’afwa wal ‘afiyah fid-dunya wal-akhirah
O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and my well-being in this world and the Hereafter
اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَينِ يَدَيَّ, وَمِنْ خَلْفِي, وَعَنْ يَمِينِي, وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي, وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَن أُْغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي
Allahummah-fazni min baini yadaiya, wa min khalfi, wa ‘an yameeni, wa ‘an shimali wa min fauqi, wa a’uzu bi’azamatika an ughtala min tahti
O Allah protect me from my front, behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from being taken unaware from beneath me
أَعُوذُ بِكلِمَاتِ الله التّامّاتِ مِن شَرّ مَا خَلَقَ
A’uzu bikalimatillahit-tammaati min sharri ma khalak
I seek protection in the perfect words of Allah from every evil that has been created
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ، وَالْجُنُونِ، وَالْجُذَامِ، وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ
Allahumma inni a’uzubika minal baras, wal junuun wal juzam, wa min sayyi’-il-asqam
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases
