Question
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
inshaAllah you are well.
I had 2 questions:
1. What exactly is considered to be a part of the eyebrows? For example, can the very thin hair that grows around the eyebrows be removed?
2. Is skin needling permissible if one feels that they have very large and obvious pores on a part of their face?
JazakumAllahu khayr.
Answer
1. Please see the following answer on hair removal from the face:

2. We do not see any issue with skin needling as per the definition below. Our understanding is that it just stimulates the body to naturally react in a certain way and thus provide certain benefits. If this is the case then it would be permissible as it is a minimally invasive procedure, even less than the pricking used in cupping.
Skin needling, which involves rolling a small device covered in hundreds of tiny needles across the skin, can also help improve the appearance of scars. But repeat treatments are often needed to achieve an effect, and results vary considerably.

Microneedling is a relatively new minimally invasive procedure involving superficial and controlled puncturing of the skin by rolling with miniature fine needles. Over a short period of time, it has gained mass popularity and acceptance as it is a simple, cheap, safe, and effective technique requiring minimal training. Traditionally used as a collagen induction therapy for facial scars and skin rejuvenation, it is also widely used now as a transdermal delivery system for therapeutic drugs and vaccines. In this review, we highlight the constantly evolving research and developments in microneedling techniques, instruments, and its applications in dermatology.
