Answer
These issues seem to be more psychological as opposed to religious ones. Hence, we would advise consulting a medical professional for extensive advice.
For the time being we are hopeful that you can take benefit from the following religious advice.
Place your trust in Allah the Almighty and His decree knowing that He will never place you in a situation that you cannot deal with. Focus on the fact that Allah the Almighty knows what you are going through and He has chosen that path for you. Hence, whether you think it is good or bad, it is what Allah the Almighty has chosen for you and He has also made a way out for you.
If the bad feelings are coming as a result of doing something wrong then the feelings are not out of place. It is natural for a person to assume a negative outcome after doing something wrong. If however, this is not the cause of the negative feelings then you may take help from reading certain du’as.
The following are some du’as that can help with your anxiety and grief:
Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’uthu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal
O Allah, I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by others.’
O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye, and rectify for me all of my affairs. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja ‘altahu sahla, wa anta taj ‘alul hazna ith-a shi’ ta’ sahlan
O Allah, there is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish, easy.’
We pray that Allah the Almighty alleviates the difficulties you are going through.
